April Wrap-Up and May Goals

April is now over, and gratefully the sun is shining! Finally! It's been a long, cold winter and I'm ready to sit in the sunshine for an unending amount of time.


The Unicorn Frappuccino

If you haven’t heard, Starbucks released a “Unicorn Frappuccino” for a very limited time. It isn’t a coffee drink, but rather a crème-based drink that has a sweet-and-sour flavoring to it. It’s named after my favorite mythical creature because of its bright pink-and-blue coloring and festive sprinkles.

Unexpected Kindness

My dog at my tennis shoes, again. It was time for them to go anyway, honestly. I’d had that pair for over a year and tennis shoes are my go-to when I’m leaving the house.

Accepting Chronic Illness

I went to Mayo Clinic last week, and I just got home yesterday. After hearing from multiple different doctors that there shouldn't be anything causing my pain, one of my friends and one of my doctors recommended that I see if I could make an appointment.

Where Did You Go All March??

National Eating Disorder Awareness Week

It's time to talk about it. Not only is that the tagline for this year's National Eating Disorder Awareness Week (NEDAwareness Week), it's true. I'm kicking off the week with myths about eating disorders, how they impacted my recovery, and why they're myths.


This past weekend, on February 19th, I celebrated two years of continuous sobriety. The week before that, I celebrated my 3 year anniversary of being suicide attempt free. A few weeks before that, I celebrated one year of being self-harm free.

January Recap/February Resolutions

Happy first day of February! This week is my second week back to campus, and I'm still in an adjustment period. January was the first month of my happiness/betterment project, and it was more challenging than I expected it to be.
